‘Faith in Feedstocks’ – XFuel featured in The Ship Supplier

As the fuel landscape continues to grow more complex with a variety of synthesised fuels promising a greener future, their feedstocks still struggle to meet global demands due to their limit of scalability and costs. This means there’s still a need for further investments into infrastructure to transport, store and bunker these fuels. However, vessel operators can’t afford to wait, as decarbonisation remains a top priority for the industry.

In his contribution to the latest issue of The Ship Supplier, XFuel’s CEO Dr Nicholas Ball explains how the availability of feedstocks and scalability of its energy conversion technology are at the forefront of XFuel’s sustainable drop-in fuels. By using lignocellulosic and lubricant oil waste instead of allowing them to be incinerated, XFuel is creating a carbon-negative lifecycle that can be replicated anywhere in the world.
